Jul 30, 2015

On 24 July 2015, The Climate Reality Project and Live Earth announced that Climate Reality’s fifth-annual 24 Hours of Reality broadcast, 24 Hours of Reality: The World is Watching will air online November 13-14. Anchored in Paris weeks before the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s 21st Conference of the Parties (COP21) negotiations, the live, 24-hour event will also broadcast from eight key countries around the world, include appearances and commentary from Climate Reality Chairman Al Gore, and feature musical performances.

24 Hours of Reality: The World is Watching will give a voice to people across the globe, allowing viewers online access to the best climate science, solutions and stories of progress in the climate fight. Together with partners all over the world the event will call on all citizens to demand a strong emissions reductions agreement when the world’s leaders gather in Paris this December to shape a new global climate agreement at COP21.

In its fifth year, 24 Hours of Reality has become a touchstone global event covering the climate crisis in every region of the world. On this day of action, we stand up together and demand real solutions to the greatest challenge of our time. The Climate Reality Project and Live Earth have been working together for the last year to drive awareness and call for action around COP21. By partnering on 24 Hours of Reality: The World is Watching, the strengths of both organisations will be harnessed on a single day during the critical lead up to COP21, focusing global attention on the need for a strong emissions reductions agreement in Paris.

Climate Reality and Live Earth will release additional details of broadcast locations, special guests and talent over the coming months.
